After recently reviewing the Vaude Kiowa 500, we were left impressed with the Vaude brand in general and wanted to know if there was a higher quality Vaude bag out there. The bag we are reviewing today is a brand new sleeping bag from Vaude, the Vaude Arctic 800 Primaloft Sleeping Bag (ad).
Basically, this is a large bag that is extremely lightweight, and it works all the way down to -8 degrees! It also packs up really tight.
Comfort 32°, Limit 23° Extreme -8° F

Why It’s Awesome:
My only problem with the Vaude Kiowa 500 was that it had what appeared to be loose stitching that I thought would eventually be a problem. This bag, the Vaude Arctic 800 Primaloft, uses shingle construction and the stitching looks basically indestructible.
What Could Be Better:
Everything about this bag is a step up from the Vaude Kiowa model, except for one thing, the price. This bag is close to $100 more! It’s really not a bad price for a top-of-the-vaude-line, lightweight sleeping bag.
I would recommend this bag to someone looking for a lightweight, cold weather bag for backpacking. You can buy it here on Amazon (ad).
