Today we’re going to take a really quick look at the Sierra Designs Zilla 3-Season Tent (ad).
This 2 or 3 person (you select which one you want), 3 seasons tent that is in the middle price range of $100-200 (usually it is in the middle of that range). It uses two pole setup, has two doors, and two vestibule areas. It’s a very open, breathable tent, which means the rainfly is basically a must use or you’ll wake up soaked. The Super seal floor and PVC-free seam tape on fly and floor will keep the weather out of the tent, keeping your dry. Also includes reflective door trim and guy outs for easy visibility at night.

Good construction quality.
Fairly big for a 3 person tent (a lot of 3 person tents are cramped).
Two doors versus the usualy one door.
Easy to setup.
At around 6 pounds, you can get lighter tents of the same quality for cheaper (depending on the price at the time of your purchase), although you’ll likely be cramped as most 3 person tents are also a bit smaller.
You basically have to use the rainfly.
I think the Sierra Designs Zilla 3-Season Tent (ad) is a good lightweight 3 person tent that actually has enough room for 3 people. The construction is good and having two doors is great. If you’re needs are a 3 person tent that is roomy and lightweight, or if you just want two doors, you should consider this tent.
